1. What We Collect
When you use BLease, we collect:
- Your email address and name (provided at signup)
- Listing information you choose to post (address, price, photos, description)
- Messages you send to other users through the platform
2. How We Use It
We use your information solely to operate BLease — to display your listings, enable messaging between users, and show your profile. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Who We Share It With
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), our database and authentication provider. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
4. @berkeley.edu Emails
If you sign up with a @berkeley.edu email, you will automatically receive a “Verified Cal Student” badge on your profile. This is cosmetic and just signals to other users that you're a Berkeley student.
5. Your Data, Your Control
You can delete your listings at any time from your dashboard. To request full account deletion and removal of your data, email roytai@berkeley.edu and we will process it within 7 days.
6. Cookies
BLease uses cookies solely to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data. Contact roytai@berkeley.edu to make a request.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
